« on: June 22, 2008, 10:20:48 PM »

As nice as any Ive seen, has this been posted recently or in past ? anyway am in between cars so looking anywhere for anything Italian for something around ?3,000
A nice Alfa Romeo Alfetta would fit the bill as not many 131's around it seems.

Wish it was a t/c though !! at the price

Hi Guys,

Yes Ian, we've seen this car before. I think it was a guy based in Belgium/Holland that was trying to sell it on to the Irish market, but wanted silly money for it - something like 8,500 Euro I think Shocked Many of us questioned the price but he contacted us through the site and told us that his price included shipping to Ireland from mainland Europe, as well as all taxes, etc.

At 5,950 Euro it's a better proposition, as it looks like a superb example, it's just a shame that it's a 1300. Still pretty expensive though in my humble opinion. Wink

I would be very interested in it if didn't already have a one previous owner, 1600 Special of my own, in right hand drive, that was almost as good as the one shown with only 15,000 miles on the clock Cool. I must get it back on the road.........

Simon and others,

I know the guy who has this car for sale. A nice man who visited me to have a look at my cars. The car is pretty pricey in my opinion although you cannot restore a car for that money to the same condition.
But we discuss all the time all cars and the 1300TC Super from Italy is still not sold.
There is still the superb copper 2nd series already for ages in Germany for sale without a single bid. And both cars are not a little but MUCH cheaper. So is anybody just looking or are there also the people really enthusiastic to keep a bit of Mirafiori history alive??
I really really thought about the italian Super but with 17 cars including 5 Mira's and already the 5th time said to my girl that that was the last purchase( indeed till that moment). And I am busy all the time keeping them okay, restore another one etc. BUT, when I see a Sud TiQV in red or silver, or an Alfa Rio or 6, or a Moretti, Vignale, Polski Monte Carlo, Tatra 87, or...................... my heart starts to beat faster and my knees get weak so you never know

Theo and all other interested friends,

Many people don,t know that there were also prepared very nice cars at the other side of the then iron curtain. Eugene will also like this I expect!
Polski Fiat was very active in Poland in rallying during the 70s into the early 80's.
They joined Rallying with the 125P fitted with Fiat engines and later with the Polonez, also with Fiat engine. Nice is that in my opinion all comes quite close in the 131 direction( Seat did actually the same in Spain with (Seat 131 "Abarths" which should be based on the 131 S 2 door shell, am I right Simon? and 124's with  the great TC engines.)).
In Poland was available the 125P Montecarlo which was the TC1600 and the 125 P Akropolis with 1800TC, both from the Fiat 132. I am sure they were tuned in different stages for rallying, but I have to go deeper into history to find more details( if anybody wants or knows?!) In my mind these cars were less or more like what the 131 Racing/sport was on our market, although I am sure they are porduced in very small numbers and I am not sure if they were available on the "normal "market.
Also I putted some pictures! And if anybody knows of a survivor?? I am extremely interested!!

I want one too Albert!! Cheesy That red car looks so cool Cool Cool Cool And fitted with a Fiat TC engine too! Grin Excellent! Wink A real 'Q' car

The SEAT 131 Abarth was basically a re-badged FIAT 131 Abarth, nothing more, nothing less - still had all of the FIAT numbers stamped into the chassis I'm told, although I've not seen one in the metal to be able to say 100%.

All 131 Abarths (Stradale and Group 4 racers) are based on the 2-door 131 S shell, as is superbly borne out if you ever have to work on the electrics Shocked. The wiring loom is 'standard' 131 S, although every Abarth Stradale I have had a good 'up close' inspection of has been different in some way to the next, giving the cars a very individual, handbuilt feel.  Grin

Thanks Albert for posting those pictures. The Lada2106 model is almost identical to the Poliski 125P/Akropolis.It has twin headlights and comes with a 1600 twin cam engine. The rear lights of the Lada2106 model are the same as in the 1600 Lada niva, but the 1700Niva and the1.9 turbo diesel Lada Niva are different.
The Poliski Fiat and the parts in theLada2106 model will interchange with each other except for the badges Wink.Eugene
