Here pics of the Quattroruote test from the 131 Racing with the Opel Rekord. Really cars which act in the same league Huh Huh Undecided
Nice to see is the red interior with the white seat cover!

There is a guy who lives close to me has a 1980 Opel Rekord Berlina in showroom condition.A Beautiful classic.Rhanks Albert for the post.Eugene Wink

Albert - Interesting comparison.

I never linked those 2 cars as market competitors - probably because the 2 door Rekord (Carlton in the UK) was never sold in Ireland. Looking at the pics they do look like they have a similar profile.

I've never thought that there were many other cars that matched the Sport profile that closely ie A 2 litre 2 door top of the range sporty version of a 4 door family saloon.

The obvious one is a Ford Escort RS2000 and I would also include the Mazda 626 2.0 Coupe but I cant think of many others. I guess you could include a 2 door Ford Cortina 2.0S (rare car). Any others ...? Huh
