My next project......

WWW
« on: April 29, 2008, 06:47:42 PM »

Due to the fact that I now have two new projects, I'm considering selling one of my 131s. It is an X reg 131 Supermirafiori 1600T/C Auto. It is in metallic silver with blue velour trim. Done about 48,000 miles and has had two owners before me I think.

When I bought it the cambelt had snapped and it was a non runner. I have fitted another head to it and at the same time lapped the valves in and fitted new stem seals. It is now a runner.

The back arches were the worst bit on the body, I have fitted a new rear arch to the drivers side which just needs filled and painted and the rust has been neatly cut out from the passenger side ready for the new arch to be welded in (will supply one with the car).

The car needs a few little bits doing on the body such as the bottom of the drivers door but overall is quite sound. Was also solid underneath.

As you know series two supers are getting quite rare and this is a pretty low mileage example and is hence very good inside with nice velour and a dash in good condition.

Sorry I do not have any pictures at the moment as it is hidden away in one of my lock ups but will get it out and some taken at the weekend.

I'm looking for ?600.

Passenger side arch ready to be fitted.

Drivers side fitted, needs filled and painted

Dash is mint.

Seats excellent

Drivers seat needs a little stitching otherwise excellent

Engine bay (had it running today, sounds really sweet)

Exact mileage 50,200? miles

Now the bad bits! Drivers door needs repaired at the bottom

Corner of roof starting to go

Repair needed by fuel filler

Inner of bootlid needs a repair (the lip is sound and this can only be seen when it is open).

As I am breaking the brown car I can sell the purchaser a door if you did not want to do a repair (it is very repairable)

I had a good look underneath today and the outer and inner sills, floorpan and chassis legs are really good. All I can see that needs doing is a little bit on the chassis outriggers where they join the inner wings at the front behind the wheel.

If you need any more info email or ring me on 07813 934305

Got it out and added the pics today. Wondering if I should sell it now, it has so much potential! I guess if it sells it sells, if not I will keep it and put it back on the road  Grin

It's very easy (and I believe not too expensive) getting cars from the UK mainland to Ireland as has been proven by many so that's no excuse!  Grin You know you want it...  Wink

For a reasonable cost I could get the car to Stranraer, and then it could go on the boat over to Belfast. Have a trip over without the car and drive it on the boat and off at the other side. My man would probably charge about ?100 to get it to the boat.

As I have now another car (see my post in the project section re the 132) this is now seriously for sale. Sensible offers invited, otherwise I may do the welding, get it MOT'd and list it on ebay. Any questions you can email or ring me on 07813 934305

Dave,i have to say you are a very honest person. Some people when selling a car would try and hide all the bad bits and when one would find a rust area, they would say that they never saw it until now.
It is nice when a person is up front and honest, you see what you are buying and it's a case of buy it or leave it.
I myself, when selling something will (like you Dave )always show and tell a person if something is wrong with it.So,best of luck with the sale Dave Wink.Eugene
