Hi
Not been on here for a while, but been busy with my 131. The body had not been properly cleaned in 30 years and the paintwork was dull and oxidised. A bottle of T cut and much elbow grease and 3 coats of polish later and its good as new! Amazing how it came back to its showroom shine.

Been thinking its time I replaced the tyres as although still plenty of tread on them, they are the original CEATs and 30 years old now! Then I thought-wouldn't it be nice to put some slightly wider/sportier rims on it? I don't want to alter the car drastically and want to keep it looking "right" if you know what I mean? For example, no point putting very wide Abarth style rims on because on a 4 door CL they would look out of place. So, I thought maybe some of those steel Supermirafiori rims? (The silver and black ones.) Or some period alloys (like Minilites maybe?) Something that won't look crap but give it a slightly wider wheel/sportier stance.

What are your thoughts/ideas? Are those Supermira steel rims easy to find? Will they fit my hubs?

Or am I wasting my time and should I just leave it on the standard steel rims and maybe see if a slightly wider tyre will fit on them? After all, its just a basic model
Thoughts?
Peter

Personal opinion would be the 13 inch super steel rims or if you want alloys and can get them the 13 inch cromadoras from the 132 1800 es look good on a four door - well i had them on mine so Im biased  Grin Grin

I must agree with Curt. Try to find the '78 Supermirafiori wheels. They should fit and they look nice on any 4-door.

try to find a set of period correct cromodora wheels. here's a list of models and for which car they were intended.

pretty much any fiat/lancia wheel will fit your 131

and yes, you can put some slightly wides tyres on your standard rims. they should be 5x13 so anything up to 185 wide will do just fine

This a nice list. Cromodora has made some nice rims through the years. I'm looking for a set of cd 68's for my second Abarth. Or a set of these...
