This is a good topic martyk..I have a few but this is the best :

The taxis of Malaysia are yellow. I think you guys have seen my car right. There was this once i was waiting for my friend out side my university, i was sitting in my 131 when a African guy came up to the car, opened the passenger door and said "Can i have a taxi to the bus station?"

I was so embarrassed. But i always have a good laugh when telling the story to my friends.

Well I wouldn't say this was one of my favourites Marty but as I pulled out on to the road from my house last Xmas day a passing pedestrian crossed over to look at my car and to engage me in (short lived) convesation -

His first comment was :

"I've never seen an orange Lada before!!!"? ?Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Shocked Cry

Low Life good for nothin' B*****D !!! At times like this I find it helpful to say a little prayer - It goes something like this .....May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his.....etc ect

On the topic of cars , I was at the Clare Stages Rally Launch early in the year , Mick Maloney's Mazda rotary  engined Escort was there ..... I was checking out a single seater , when this old guy asked me if I'd seen the Mk2 with the engine in it "upside down" !!!!  Grin

The first classic car show I displayed my 131 at, I overheard someone say. "I don't know what that is here for, they were crap when they were new." I ignored the comment and let them walk on. Each to their own, I personally would not waste my money on a Mini for example, but if thousands of others like them fair enough.

In Holland we celbrate queensday at 30 april every year. She's the queen of "orange". So I heard several times if I painted my car especially for the queens birthday.
