Traditionally,  the Saturday of the 3ma weekends is the one when we have our static display of cars so members of the general public can also admire them  Wink Grin This year we have arranged to visit the Haynes International Motor Museum  located in Sparkford, Somerset. The museum have promised us special reserved and prominent parking for our 131s so our static display of cars will take place while we enjoy the museum's exhibits.

The Haynes Motor Museum holds over 400 amazing cars and bikes from nostalgic classics of the 50's, 60's, 70's and even later-day classics such as the Jaguar XJ220 and the Ferrari 360.  It also has rarities such as the Bricklin.

There are a total of 10 halls in the museum so there's bound to be something of interest for everyone:

Hall 1 - The Dawn of Motoring
Covering the period of up 1910 - Examples: 1900 Clement 2.25hp Voiturette / 1910 Renault Twin Cylinder AX

Hall 2 - The Red Room
50 beautiful red sports cars from around the world - Examples: 1981 Lamborghini Countach 400s / 1965 AC Cobra

Hall 3 - The International Hall
A collection of cosmopolitan transport styles - Examples: 1953 Morris Minor / 1971 Rolls Royce Corniche

Hall 4 - British, American and Specialist
The hall of British-American contrasts - Examples: 1965 Morris Mini Cooper / 1959 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

Hall 5 - Veteran, Vintage, Edwardian and Classics
Featuring the USA timeline, Jaguar collection and the Duesenberg - Examples: 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham Bodied Tourster / 1965 Jaguar E-type 4.2 Litre Fixed Head Coupe

Hall 6 - The Speedway Collection
31 rare and interesting speedway bikes from the Forshaw collection, includes massive display of colourful riders jackets

Hall 7 - Hall of Motorsport
Depicting the varied disciplines of motorsport - Examples: 1996 Ferrari Formula 1 Type F310 (DC) / 1926 Bugatti T35B

Hall 8 - The British Hall
60 years of tradition from the 1917 Morris Cowley to a very rare 1977 Rover 3.5 Estate

Hall 9 - British Motorcycle Hall
Beautiful collection of British motorcycles restored to exceptional standard - Examples: 1914 557cc BSA / 1961 348cc Manx Norton Model 40M

Hall 10 - Millennium Hall
A collection of future classics from the last 25 years - Examples: 1981 Volkswagon Golf Gti / 1998 Jaguar XJ220

Our route from Kingsteignton will take us north-east on the A38, round the south side of Exeter on the M5 and into Somerset where the A30 and A303 will take us to the museum in Sparkford. Lunch will be at the museum and we'll spend sometime admiring the exhibits while the public admire our cars. Depending on available time we might take a detour to Cheddar Gorge after leaving the museum otherwise we'll use a different return route to Kingsteignton of B3168, B3181, B3212 and B3193 avoiding the motorway and  major roads.
