Growing up I considered the 131 Sport to be a fast car and when I got to own a 'warmed over version' in 1990 I was not disappointed Grin. I also consider my E Class to be a fast car and have owned a number of 200 Plus BHP cars over the years.

However from the passenger seat on Tuesday Night I experienced a Super Car in the shape of Simon's 560BHP BMW M5 Shocked Shocked. It makes the above referenced seem positively pedestrian. What a machine that clearly defines the difference between a Fast Car Cheesy and a Super Car Shocked Shocked.

Thanks for a great night. Always nice to talk 131's with someone who shares the obsession  Smiley.

On the fast car theme what is the fastest (operational) 131 known to members on the forum. Doesn't someone own a Turbocharged one Smiley

It was good to meet up again Rob. It had been too long. Cool

I hope I didn't bore you too much with my 'car talk'.  Grin Yes my M5 is certainly a Super Car - but I'm not allowed to talk about it on this forum.

There are a number of 'fast' 131s in the World but the fastest I have personally encountered in the metal has been a 131 fitted with a Lancia Delta Integrale Turbo engine. It ran about 240 bhp if I remember correctly, which is twice as much as a 131 Racing was built to handle.

There's also a Racing fitted with a Honda S2000 VTEC engine in Poland I believe, which is hugely fast - the owner is a member on this forum.

There are lots of 131 that are more powerful and therefore one must assume 'faster' than Father Fiat ever intended them to be, some are still 'in build' in the Projects section here. It's interesting to hear of the experiences of others.
