131 in California

What kind of motor do you think is in that 131 brava - looks like EFI to me 
Dont have any knowledge of the USA models -but looks very interesting

Yep, Electronic fuel injection as also fitted to some models of the Argenta.

It's interesting to see that the battery has been relocated on the fuel injected American versions to allow for the fuel injection's air metering box. Strangely, the German car now residing in Poland also has the battery on that side.



Can anyone enlighten us on Fiat 131 battery locations?

From what I have seen, on the 2.0 ltr fuel injected, 1980 and newer have the battery on the d/s side. The carbureted version, 1980 and older have the battery on the p/s side. It seems that in 1980 they had both FI and carbureted models as my 1980 is carbureted with the battery on the passenger side

I know that car. I just bought a set of rims for my 124 from him. He is an old fiat mechanic from Los Angeles. The car, the poor poor car, was purchased for his girl friends son as a first car. He wanted something that he could beat up and destroy and not care about. I don't know about Europe, but there are no more 131/bravas left in the US. To give one to a kid to trash is criminal! On a plus side, when the kid saw the car he said that he would not be caught dead driving such a piece of crap. So, thats why the car went on ebay. Fortunatly for the Brava, it has been saved. Also, all Bravas sold in the US for 1981 were fuel injected. All bravas sold in California for 1980 were as well. Fuel inj. Bravas are very, very rare in the US, given the fact that the 131/Brava is rare to begin with should tell you something. Automatic Bravas are common, US buyers perfer Automatics in executive sedans. Do any of you know who bought the car?
