I came across this pic on another site - Octaine.ie - A motoring site with a healthy thread going on classic photos - First street scene to include a Fiat 131 ...below.

I can recognise the 'sud, mini, 131, but what is the green car in front of the mini..also the car to the left of the cyclist - I'm thinking R18 or Saab 99 for the latter....? Huh

The tall building is County hall on the approach to Cork City. The road the cars are travelling on is called the Carrigrohane straight(which is 3miles long). The car in front of the Mk4 Cortina is a Alfa Sud.The green car in front of the Mini seems to be a Renault 12 and not a 18,and of course the 131 is a series 3. Thanks for the help guys...mystery solved on the other site.

The green car is a Toyota Corolla K20 and the black car is indeed a R18.

The blue car actually has turned out to be a mk 2 Avenger estate.? Wink

Blue meaning the dark blue r 18, like your Dads 131 Kevin there was a black sport like that in dundalk years ago with the TI reg it was rolled at a level crossing got a new roof painted lovely red & sold on, not sure what colour the interior was, i remember because i sold the roof to the guy off a white 1300 2 door that was made into a sport & wrote off after about 4 weeks too fast for the owner lol, will try to find out more info just have to bump into Malcolm who fixed it.
