Or perhaps the car required a lot of preparation work before the paint which cost a lot of money? Who knows. The only way to tell really is to go and see the car as I do not think it is possible to tell true condition from photographs alone. As Eugene says the owner is looking for at least ?5000 for it I would be suprised if it sells, however I could be wrong.

If it was mint perhaps, but it isn't.  There was a fully restored Supermirafiori VX for sale in Italy recently that was 6500 Euro with decent mileage.  There is no way this car is worth similar money to an Abarth 4 door.
