Our website's page views have gone over 2000 per week last week. I think this is a new record although I need to check the stats to make sure. We now need to work towards over 2000 visits per week!

Have we not already achieved that Theo...or do you mean every week..? Wink

A few more arguments and disputes no doubt will help greatly - Who's next after Eugene to speak his mind...?  Smiley

Is it not a new record then? As I said, I need to check back on the stats but I thought over 2000 page views in a week was a new record.

Sorry Theo - Just being pedantic - We've just achieved it... so why not aim higher for the future...?

Great that the 131 is so popular Smiley

This site is really good and has lots of enthusiastic owners of these cars.

Long may the growth and development of the site continue.

Ah ...so you mean every week - OK - Sure a bit of controversy is always a good draw!  There must be lots of controversial viewpoints out there that people can get their teeth into! And then we can all make up again at 3MA! Grin

Ah ...so you mean every week

No, I don't mean that! (here I go again causing controversy, I should learn to keep my mouth shut!)  There's a difference between website Visits and website Page Views. When someone visits the website, it gets logged as a visit but if that someone looks at 3 pages then 3 Page Views are logged against the one visit. Last week we had 1352 visits but those visitors looked at 2004 pages. Normally the page views of a website are much higher than the page visits as people would look at multiple pages per visit but in our case most people simply log onto the website to go to the forum. So next milestone is over 2000 visits not just page views. Mind you, we've probably already achieved that as some people have stored the forum link in their favourites and go directly to the forum bypassing the website's homepage where the statistics counters are placed.

Ah I missed the distinction between page views and visits - I should have known better than to engage you in an argument about words (or even using words) Theo!  Wink

Although that target does look like an ambitious jump in the number of visits!

Any ideas on how we achieve it...?

Maybe we can create two groups of visitors. I am sure that'll achieve something....  Grin

I must have told around 100 people or so about this forum since joining last Sept/Oct and how they must visit the Showroom section, so maybe it's down to me  Wink Cheesy
