URGENT HELP NEEDED !!!

Need to source a brake pump to fit instead of a standard 131 pump (19.5 diameter)

The pump should be either 21.6 or 22.2mm (preferably the latter) !!!

The brakes we installed (original group 4) cannot be handled by what we have : 19.5 or 20.6 mm

Help please, as we are planning a start for September 5 , in a major rally and without it , we are dead in the water.

Skoda Felicia has 22,22 mm brake pump.
The thread is M10?1

From ATE catalog;

Atleast in Fiat Croma 2500 D and 2000 i.e. so propably its in all early Cromas
24.2122-0802.3       Master Cylinder, brakes
Trade Numbers: 010374
?: 22,2 mm, Number of ports: 4, Thread Size: M10x1, Length 1: 18,8 mm, Length 2: 167 mm, MAPP code available

Remember that the integral shaft in ATE master cylinders, the pipe kind of thing coming from the cylinder, where you pedal pressing bar is pointed at, CANNOT BE SHORTENEDE!!!! It is contact surface for seals, if you shorten it, it will leak when pressed.... Its possible to shorten it a bit, but not much. I have this kind of cylinder in my track BMW and I shortened it....  Wink And it leaked  Roll Eyes This croma master cylinder looks pretty much the same as 131 cylinder.

It seems I could get new for 80?, or seal set for 20? but the supplier I use is sold out at the moment. I think its easy to find it from Poland also.

The ones used in Cromas ?85-?96 seem to be hard to source really, even those non ATE equivalents. Thats why i pointed ?koda Felicia which is same thread patern and diameter and should be easy to find in Poland as in my country and also not expensive. But i dont know about those class restrictions in rally, so just threw a tip.

It looks like this

edit: whoops i can have this type from manufacturers TRW, Delphi, LPR, Tecnodelta, Cifam but sadly not ATE, not even Bosch. The price is till 50e.

Gents,

I really appreciate all the inputs !

Asd some may know we have modified the breaking system to gr 4 specs:

Front : 2 x 48 ATE aluminum  calipers (from RS 911)
Rear : 2 x 38 ATE steel calipers.

The 19.5 master brake cylinder is nowhere near being able to support the capacity required.

We tried 20.64 still failed. The next possibility is 21,6 , 22, 2 ....

As the setup is temporary. We will go for gr 4 dual master cylinder setup , but now we wanted to take the car to a regularity rally covering the best rally stages in Poland. This was to test the newly installed gr 4 front suspension.

If we can make it work - we will take it for the planned tests now.

If not we will continue working until the break system is fully gr 4. and then test it.

The solution with Skoda looks very interesting. We ordered Alfa GTV 22.2 pump.

We also ordered a 25 mm master cylinder - we will see ...

If we fail to make it on time I will take my 124spider (targa hardtop)  to the rally. It is just too good to pass...
