Absolutely - Great car and value - Sounds well sorted - From the description of the handling I'm reminded of my passenger ride in Simon's Abarth at the Nurburgring this year.  Smiley

i think the problem is, to have the money at that right time! Sad
i see the Lancia Stratos price on 1978 the last car would be sale for ca. 40.000.- DM  Lips Sealed
and now up to 400.000.- Euro,  but who have 40000.- DM at that time?  Huh
i had it not! i was 16 years old and i have only 400.- DM to buy an used motorbike! Cheesy

I bought mine in 2004 for similar money to this - but it's costs me a few quid since, as all old cars do. Cool I didn't have the cash at the time - had to get a bank loan, but it's been paid off for a few years now so the car is mine Grin

I can't say I had any foresight - the 131 Abarth was simply a car I wanted own and enjoy - so I bought it when I could. The fact that the values of these cars has gone mad is just a lucky (for me at least) fluke.

I got mine back in 2001. The Euro was only one day in the running... I bought the Stradale for 20.000 Euro's. Which was 43.000 Gulden (Guilders) one day before.
When i was forced to sell it in 2007 i got 36.000 Euro's. Shocked

In 1999 i got my group 4 car. It was just the shell. Paid 5.000 for it. It's about 90 % finished. Untill now i spend about 30.000 euro's on it. When i think about it, this is a lot of money. Even though spend in about 14 years.
When it's finished it's worth somewhere between 140.000 and 150.000...

the ?12,500 car in the add was offered to me 3 times over the space of three months .. at the time the most I could raise was ?10,000 &  it just wasn't enough to tempt the owner & she slipped by & was sold some months later .. wonder who ever bought it ?
