Does anyone know anything about 130 handbrakes? It is still poor and is preventing me from getting my MOT! I'm having trouble getting it sorted. Anyone got any ideas?

I had hand brake problems on two of my cars, one pinto and one Strada. The brakes worked, just not well. After a few months of tightening and rebuilding, I noticed that the cables were rusty. What was happening was the friction in the cables were causing them not to slide freely. I was able to clean one out and lube it (the pinto) and now it works great. The stradas was a mess. I had to have a new cable made by a place that only deals with automotive cables. Once it was replaced, the parking brake worked great. Hope this helps.
