Are you restoring a sport to standard then? These panels are rare, but not as sought after as they once were now you can buy fibreglass versions. Grin

hi dave,
i am afraid this will be getting a nip and tuck, i will be adding a stradale
arch extension to it, the big job will be taking off the roof fitted with the
webasto and fitting a roof without any sunroof in it,

I have seen a roof fitted to a 131 so it can be done. I would like to do it to a car that I am restoring to cure the dreaded roof rot once and for all. I know Yagmur has roof skins available, but lack of funds and the thought of the shipping costs from Turkey have so far put me off!

An aquaintance of mine was telling me that a company he used to work for used to get cars shipped for about ?800 in a container (two cars). Perhaps we need to get together on this, if we could get a container shipped for say ?1000 if we split it between ten of us it would only be ?100 each, only ?50 if there were 20 of us. What we really need is someone who has the money to buy a massive amount of Yagmurs stock, get it shipped to the UK or Ireland and set up a business selling 131 panels and parts to Europe!

You could take a driving holiday to Turkey in a large van, but looking at a map it is a long drive!

Another thought. Someone I know is the transport manager for Eddie Stobbart, I often see him on Saturdays, if I see him tomorrow I must ask him if Stobbarts drive to Turkey.

K10 went to Mongolia and back in a Lada Niva via Turkey from Cork,So there's no excuse to go.
I know of a courier who goes once a week from Eire to Moldova&Ukraine and when i was in Ukraine, they do a lot of trade with Turkey,so there are many possibilites.
Will do a bit of checking over the weekend with my contacts Wink.Eugene Grin

we got a quote of 900euro to ship a large crate
but i think export certificate or custom clearance in turkey
is a problem, maybe yagmur can research this for us
i know i would rather put on a new roof instead of a secondhand one

Hello My friends,
If you all come together and make a big list of parts,I can send them by exporting. There are Turkish trucks once a week to UK and also to Ireland.
They can make delivery to your adress in 7-8 days and price of it is very very cheap.Other wise for big dimension parts the courier companies ask very expensive-unbelieveable prices.
I always send a few small dimension parts by post office with competitive prices but impossible to send big dimension parts by post office, not legal.
best wishes to you all
