Clarkson&Co are a bunch off assholes in my opinion. Those plonkers know nothing about cars. Most off the time they talk about yuppy cars that only millionares can afford,so Clarkson&Co do not live in the real world.Eugene

Wink I wondered who would be first, I caught the last half hour only wish now it had been the first, I agree the team seem to enjoy "banger racing" in all forms perhaps missed their true vocation in life.

If only they had got hold of one of these, oh well, and how many Lada Riva's do you see for sale...........anywhere, a true classic ? :

Love to see a real 131 Abarth driven by Stig, any offers of a car.......Simon ?

Yes there are Lada's for sale, however they don't build them Rhd anymore, but there is huge demand for them in eastern Europe. If you go to Ukraine&Russia they completely out number western made cars by about 10 to 1.
These cars(LADA'S)come without any bullshit attached. They are simple and very easy to repair and very rarely break down.
Recently K10 from Cork drove to Mongolia and back without very little problems.
And always remember Lada's are Fiat based,so they have got to be good Wink Cheesy.Eugene

a few facts about lada's:
what electrics? interior lights, rear windshield heater, headlights. there is nothing more electrical in it!
engine ALWAYS starts first time you crank it, no metter how cold or wet the weather is. the colder the better.
heater ALWAYS works. no metter how cold it is. -20*c outside, +20*c inside.
parts are cheap as they come. all parts for complete engine rebuild are around 250e incl new pistons. new carb is 40e. new dizzy is 10e, whole gearbox is 200e new, clutch kit 15e, limited slip diff is 250e. whole new car 2104/2105/2107 is around 4000e. you wouldn't drive it at those prices?

this is what we do with lada's in serbia
