Italian Style Plates

I've been planning for some time to get replacement registration plates for my 2 cars and the holiday period has been ideal for catching up on all those jobs that get put on the long finger.

I spent 2 hours with the sign maker who showed exceptional patience in helping me replicate the style of a 70s/80s style Italian plate. Where legality is concerned I'm not too concerned with the rear ones but the fronts may raise an authoritative peak capped eyebrow.? ? We will have to wait and see.? What do you think..?

Hi Kevin top pic bottom plate looks good without the border & space the letters out more, just my opinion
does the bigger plate sit between the tail lights? instead of the backing plate with the stupid plastic chrome trim that falls off?
was thinking of something like that for my 131 in year 2020 lol

I think the last ones look perfect but I think I saw them on the back of my car earlier this year

Ah yes - Not claiming this as an original idea - In fact didn't a certain Blue Abarth Stradale start the fashion..?

Anyway here are the first 2 fitted and I'm delighted with how they look. I hope the authorities appreciate them as much..!?

Hi Kevin I think they look fantastic and really suite the car and
anyway I have a bkack and silver plate on the 127 for past 18 months
and have driven over and back to London with no prob.You worry too

Yes the plates  do go well with the car,but the Garda will pull you as they are not legal in Eire.Should a patrol car or a unmarked Garda car happen to be driving behind you,i can gaurantee that you will be pulled over.They are very strict on non conforming number plates,because i myself have had the pleasure recently of being told to take off yellow plates on my one of my Lada Niva's.
I was given 24hrs to get the correct plates and bring the car to the Garda station.If i didn't i would be facing a fine and a court appearance .Eugene

collectors in uniform  what harm is it doing

Well yellow plates are a different story that is asking for it but I have never had any hassle with my plates and have had a number of complements from members of the Gardai but then a classic Fiat is a class car as Eugene they may have been confused as to how you were in the Lada and not pushing it along

One doesn't have to have IRL on the plate.EIRE can also be used on the plate as Irish is the first language of the state..
Should or if the test centre fail you on having Eire on the plate,then as a Irish citizen,one's consitutional right's would be infringed.
On a stamp,it is always Eire and not Irl,so a precedent has been set and one could take a case against the  state. .Eugene
