Just some info over the weekend..
As most of the 131ers will be staying at the Killarney Heights and presumably taking advantage of the all in deal of Dinner B&B I have taken the liberty of booking a large table for us for each of the 4 nights. To enable us to sit together I needed to give a reasonable time for eating so I have suggested 7.30pm each night - Except Saturday which is 8pm because of a wedding on the same day. I hope that's OK with everyone who plans to dine with the main group.
As you register at the hotel they have told me that they will ask each guest(s) whether they wish to take advantage of the "all in" rate. It would be helpful to the hotel if everyone knew what dining arrangements they wished to make at that time.
Car parking - I have been promised a cordoned off area close to the hotel entrance which is a bit away from the main road, is surveyed by cameras and near the night porter. Having said that it would be wise to take whatever precautions you think are necessary such immobilisers, mechanical locking devices, car covers, etc.
Overall the hotel have been very co-operative to our every wish and if it all goes well we might consider a little gratuity for the staff - I'll leave that one open for individuals to consider.
I cant think of anything else to add to this now - Except to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable trip to the SW of Ireland - Most people have my number and I'm available for any help that I can offer. I'm really looking forward to seeing old friends and new?
