I now have the new distributorless ignition systems. The trigger unit replaces the distributor and mounts in the spot where a block mounted distributor would mount. Simple plug and play installlation, very easy to set timing. I'm posting a link to an introduction video. The production systems have the harness routed under the intake manifold and around the back of the engine rather than over the top as in the video.

I have just ordered one of these ignition systems from Mark and it's on the way now.   He is very good and prompt.   You get immediate responses to your emails etc and I can't wait to install it.

So cal mark.
Ibought a weber twin 40 idf set up on a genuine Fiat waffle manifold it is missing the linkages but apart from that its mint.
Problem is it does not fit the 131 2000 tc as the dizzy is in the way so i have 2 choices find a head with a cam mounted dizzy and a blank to block of the block mounted dizzy i have on.
So what would be the better/cheaper option finding a new head and blank !!
Or fitting that system.
Or just selling the idf 40s and getting 2nd hand side draught 45s with suitable manifold which will not affect my block mounted dizzy.??
Your system does seem good but im looking for the easy option.

well, in my opinion the easiest route would be to install my ignition kit. It certainly is less work than either of your other choices. It literally takes about 15-20 mins to install my kit, and the performance is phenomenal. Swapping the head or cam box or carbs takes a bit longer than that
