Back in the late '80s I went searching for an X1/9 for the wife and it took lots of 'looking' before I found one worthy of a test drive Roll Eyes Anyway, took it out and it seemed fine, so I asked the wife to drive it......she hated the driving position Undecided  so we never bought it!! Roll Eyes

I've had lots of 128s over the years, saloons, coupes and 3Ps and thought that an 'X'ey would be a good addition. I know they can suffer from rot and over heating, especially if the coolant isn't regularly changed as the long steel pipes from the engine bay to the front mounted rad can fur/rot.

I haven't really the space in my wallet  Wink for any additons to the fleet at the moment - but a man can dream. Cool

I can remember a W reg silver X19 outside a local scrap yard in 1989 and it was as new. It was left at the yard because the engine had blown. I asked the the owner of the yard how much he wanted for it and he said " I hate Fiats im going to squash the bastard "  which he did !!
