Gee - Such a shame to lose what looks like a very good condition Sport. If it has to be then so be it - Will the owner sell some parts that are not needed? I'll send you a PM.  Smiley

I am also interested in EVERYTHING which comes from the car! But still prefer to keep it one of the very few original left sports!!

I also think you should the Racing like it is. Buy yourself a rusty or slightly 2-door saloon and build the replica from that one.

I have a better idea - - Buy this car for ?550 - Spend ?1000 or less for shipping and sell the Racing for ?6000 - Everybody is happy!  Grin

Some word from South Africa.  I support all the guys that say dont strip the Racing!  In SA only 16 Racings were ever produced and I also cut one of them up many years ago because I wanted an Abarth.  At the time there were many 2 door Fiats available but I destroyed a Racing.  Now I am busy restoring one that is in a terrible condition just to save one of them.(Will still start to post some pics in project corner about this project)

Yes, try to save as many Racings/ Sports as possible. I also destroyed some in the past and looking back at that I think it was a stupid thing to do. Now I have one left and I will cherish it. Even though it will not start (see my topic).
I understand lots of enthusiasts like to have an Abarth copy, but do not cut a Racing in pieces for it.

I never destroyed a Racing to do an Abarth repro and I will never do as I like Racings more!

Isn't it still possible to find a shell to Abarthise? When the car is in need of total restoration or it's just an emty shell enjoy. Last year I saw one in the UK, you even hadn't take the rearwings off because they were stripped already. And there was a Racing for sale at a Libanese scrapyard somewhere in the for salepart of this forum.

Recently I heard of a Racing Volumetrico( which IS a genuine Abarth!) which was taken to pieces to build another f@#$%** Replica. And of course many many "normal"Racings ended this way.
Question: Is there still an original Walter R?hrl around or did they end all as replica's?
Cannot we do a poll here to stop using the few good originals left for this??
