Sorry Mike was referring to your pic of your car on page 3
It looks like the steering angle ( Tracking) is offset on the offside wheel i.e. worn feathered edge on the tyre - It was meant as a joke  Sad

Cheesy I understand now. Thanks. But this a wheel I had left in stock. It's just to keep the car rolling for I sold the widened Racing wheels. Later on I will put the group 4 wheels on. If I can find them. Need 2 7J rims and two 8J rims.

C'mon Suljo....
That is the beauty of this forum
Some"keep it OE"hardliners like you and some "modify the shit out of them"as well...
All share the same passion at the end

ok,  looking at the first pic of this discussion...It doesn't look to good (although you have not seen mine thank god, somebody voted for cutting up 4 doors if in bad shape)
But I also can understand Suljo's point of view...

Wink and for what its worth my view is I'm sure this 131 will be OK, it has survived so far...............and so whats the big deal in another guise ? There will always be plenty other 131 sports in the world.
Even 2 door Mk1 Ford Escorts or again the 2 door base model Cortina Mk1's are always being converted into rally cars or Lotus Cortina clones hence the silly prices.

At least it isn't a Lord Brocket job where 3 rare Ferrari's and a Maserati bird cage are now lost forever due to his Fraud, a 7 year jail sentence was not long enough for him IMHO.

I await the end result with interest !

italianxray, I agree with you about Lord Brocket. Just a foolish idiot!

I don't agree with you about Racings. Please show where they are still plentyfull. I am searching but couldn't find such a place for years now. You talk about Escort Mk1 conversions. The basic shell of these cars was made in much bigger numbers and the standard was 2 door. 4 doors were a minority. There is a big difference with the 131 as by far the most cars produced were 4 doors. The other point is that you can use every standard variant of the Escort for the conversion, where you hardly see any 131 2 door L or CL.
And converting a Racing...............you know my opinion.
