The series 1 131's do not come with rpm meter. So i was thinking, can i take series 2 or series 3 meter and fit it into my car? If yes where do i connect the rpm cable to the engine?

Series 1 cars DID indeed come with a rev counter Krish, but only the Specials were fitted with one as standard, although I believe they were an option on the 1600 basic models.

The connection needs to be made at the coil. Check with the wiring diagram from a 1600 Special (Series 1) or 1600 CL (Series 2) - should be the same in any case.

hi...

I also have a series I (three, actually...), I changed the dash for one with rev counter and didn?t need to connect an extra wire, seems to be pre-fitted, just connected the multiple connector to the dash and the rev counter worked....try it out...!
