Interesting with a CL centre console, non-remote gearchange, series 1 handbrake, rectangular twin headlamps and a sunroof! I like the leather(?) seats  Wink

It's not really a replica, more just a modified 2 door 131. I quite like the look of it and some of the modifications. Runs a VW motor by the look of it too.

What is so terrible about it? I know with what I'm going to say an ex member would kill me but if I had a 2door one I would like it better with the wider arches of a stradale...

I know everybody has his own opinion about cars. Mine about this one is that i don't like it. Because of the sunroof, grille and sideskirts. Sorry, but it looks like a cheap VW Golf C with optical tuning. Even worse, it looks like it got a VW engine as well.
I am a purist when it comes to the rally looks of the 131, and i just can't find myself in this one. Just giving my opinion and i respect everyone who thinks different  Smiley

I fully agree with Mike, also not my cup of tea.  And then the owner claims it is a real collectors piece.  No Fiat collector here in South Africa will buy this car with the VW engine in it.  As you say it is not a Abarth replica but a modified 131 with the wrong engine in it.  R 82000 equils about 7500 British Pounds.

Actually.......I like this ....a lot. I think there is always a place for "one off" interpretations of what a modified 131 should look like and I think this is quite a restrained and well thought out creation.

I think that calling it an Abarth replica is stretching things a little but as a customised 131 it looks very well and twin cam engines are common enough if one wanted to have a heart transplant. Full marks on what looks like a quality and integrated creation.....from me at least.  Smiley

If I was choosing between a genuine Stradale... in blue  Smiley ....and this car, both at equal cost, then the Stradale would win of course but this is a worthy car too.  Smiley
