As always you need to go and look to make sure it really is what you want. It does also say in the ad that it has been welded previously. The question is how much, where and to what standard?
Maltese one has never been welded - Grin

That's ideal. Even if you have to do some it's easier than undoing other people's!

I visited Malta a couple of time (my favorite foreign summer-country) but never saw this car. Malta is a warm country with less rain so no wonder there is no welding (needed). Good luck. Smiley

Nice mileage on this ebay car in Epsom, Surrey - the town of my birth incidentally Grin I don't think the scrapes are too much to be worried about and I'm sure it will be a very nice car for the next owner, especially if a few hours are spent on the paintwork. Cool Let's hope the new owner is either a member here or joins us - it would be good to see the car at shows and on 3MA Wink.

I would say a series 2 super is more sought after due to rarity. Nearly every 4 door that comes up for sale in the UK is a series 3. However a lot of people prefer the series 3 as it has the 2 litre and the sportier gear shift.

Personally I much prefer the series 2 as I like the look of it much more (grille and no plastics), better interior trim and I like the quirky styling touches such as the gearchange and the twin sliding door glovebox.

Here in Holland series 2 is also rare. Cl is easier to find. Personally i like the first series Super more. It's boxy style is just better looking. The plastics used on series 3 is just too much.

Current price on this one makes mine a bargain - Series 3 is not my preferred choice but this was cheap and a stepping stone till the next one comes along  Grin
M76 i know what you mean about the plastic but I`ve taken it off and looks so much better already  Smiley

And what will you do about the holes in the bodywork? I mean, the holes where the plastic is fitted? Smiley

That's business I guess, I can't say I wouldn't do the same if I was offered something cheap that I knew would sell for good money. However if it was a really good one I would keep it Wink
