I doubt anyone who gave that amount of money for one would leave it in a garden or break it for spares.

Hope we get to hear more about it on here though Smiley

I've been watching this one with interest and its final price is where I thought it would be Wink. With some money and TLC you could probably have a very nice 2.0L Mirafiori for ?3,000 Smiley. Many others and I would probably prefer a Sport or even a S2 Super. However when price and practicality  Lips Sealed enter into the equation this and many other S3 Super's make a great deal of sense. If I was in the UK more often I would have probably bought this for the reasons as stated. Over the last 12 months this together with the Silver Sport / Racing with the Guy Croft Engine were probably the best buys  Wink, or have I missed something. Embarrassed

Looking at the bidding list you can see that the buyer didn't bid before. Probably to make sure the price wouldn't go too high. He waited untill the end and then stroke. Smart guy.
Now let's see if he shows up on the forum.

Mirafiori 76; The person who bought this will most definitely pop up on the forum. It may not be a He and could well be a She. Grin

Which brings about an interesting question, with the exception of WAGS, how many regular Female contributers have we on the Forum  Smiley

Rob,

Sure, it could be a "she". But how many women, do you recon, will buy a Fiat 131 on Ebay? Wink

Mirafiori 76

This could really get the She Debate Going Wink

An intersting twist on this could be what do the WAGS think of 131's.

Mine does not like them  Sad and can't see what all the fuss is about.

On a brighter note she (Wife of 10 Years) did comment at the Tatton Park Show in 2007 that the Mirafiori Sport was quite nice.

Ooh, starting a debate about women or wives here? Do you think thats a good idea?
I guess you have to be a bit lucky to have a partner with the same interest. Once i had a girlfriend as fanatical as i was (years ago). Now my ex-wife (to be) made me sell my Abarth Stradale... Things can change.

Hi Guys, Just to let you know I was the lucky person to buy the car (sorry to disappoint those of you who wanted a new female owner!!)

Sorry that I out bid you Strada - hopefully no hard feelings - I didn't use any sniper software I just did exactly what Mirafiori said, I just watched and waited....

Any onto important things I have now booked my hotel for the 3ma11 so hopefully I will get to meet lots of you in Devon in May.

Wink Well done, Phil. You took a high risk waiting for the very last moment to strike. Especially because Strada was on top of it as well.
Anyway, good luck and keep us posted.
