I have really enjoyed the last year on the 131 Forum, and when (not if) I could spend more time back in the UK  :)I will be buying (Probably a Sport / Racing) to join you Cool Smiley. However if one of the members wants to sell their car for the right vehicle I can purchase now and store, my private e-mail details are on the web-site. The event looked great and would be something that I would really enjoy having looked at the regular phto updates.

I will just have to add the 3 MA to all the things I miss (especially at this time of year) about living in the UK, as it is only May and the Temperatures here have been getting into the 40's.

List of things / events I miss:

1) Fresh Cool Clear Air

2) The IOM TT Races

3) The NW 200

4)  Various Motorcycle Racing Events; BSB, WSBK and MOTO GP, (will get to some Smiley Smiley)

5) Country walks

6)Cycling

Benefit of being here is that I can afford the ever increasing prices asked for such cars Wink Wink

Rob, whilst there are things that you miss about the UK there are also things that are getting worse here - as with many other parts of the World -

1) Increasing uncertainty in employment Undecided

2) Increasing cost of fuel - especially petrol, diesel and domestic gas and electricity Shocked

3) Increasing uncertainty about the Bank Base Rate, with the ever increasing certainty that the BoE will increase the rate to stem the increase in inflation Roll Eyes Self defeating in my opinion, but what do I know, I only have to pay for it all! Angry

4) Increasing cost of living - food especially. Certain supermarket 'essentials' have increased hugely in recent times, which stretches the purse even further.

5) Colder, more severe winters. Sometimes it's good to be warm Grin

Good to hear that you're mssing Blighty though - hurry home and meet the 131 Boyz. We'll be glad to have you along  Cool Grin

Simon

Things are tough for most people around the world with a few notable exceptions. Being half Irish the Temperatures here are never going to agree with me  Shocked Shocked

When we do get back full / part time a 131 is a must have purchase (I would purchase now for the right car and store), and look forward to becoming part of the 131 scene, especially as the children are getting older.

The point I was making is that some of the best things in life are free like cool clear air and I love cold weather. I thought the Employment situation was getting better (outside of the Public Sector). Interest rates have been at Emergency Levels for over 2 years and Inflation is rising. Potential further problem when I like many have a hefty mortgage/ es.
