My 131 Wagon has the later Brava style 'slider' glovebox.  It works properly, but rattles horribly.  How does one solve this?

Thanks!

It is screwed to the main dash from underneath. My guess would be the screws are loose, missing or one or more of the mountings are broken. I take it it is empty and still rattling?

Yes, it's the two sliders rattling in it's tracks...and stuffing a matchbook in it doesn't really help Sad

Perhaps there is a part broken or missing in the slider mechanism then.

I remember removing the dash boards on these mk2 131's to rectify this problem and there were two types of clips.
As I recall there were four plastic type clips (that had a ball bearing each) per lid so eight in total but these would fail with age and Fiat changed them to a totally metal type clip after the first year (which wasn't as smooth an action as the earlier type and didn't have a ball bearing as I recall ?) so they must have had some of the original plastic type clips fail during fist year?
I did have some spare later metal type clips somewhere but god knows where but I will look over the weekend if you like but can't promise anything as they may have got lost ?
