has anyone ever put a 130 abarth engine from a strada into a 131 sport,
i have sourced an engine as above with 175 brake {high comp pistons +
highlift cams} should make my 131 move a bit quicker.

Hi Gerry there is a very good thread on Guy Crofts forum also i think Steve who lives in spain has done the exact thing, there seems to be a slight modification of the gearbox shaft ie grind a few mill  and round off the end plus a bearing is needed to support the shaft, i am in the process of putting a 8v integrale engine in and its the same for that. regards barry

You can leave the sump on as well as the oil filter housing.

I also have a spare bearing as i ordered two just incase.

You can call out to ours if ya like Gerry , We've a gearbox out on the ground , and an 8v 2.0 if you want to see any of the measurements.

fast road cams , twin dellortos , ported and polished without biggish valves , I'd say about 135-140 bhp.
