I came accross these pictures of a rather nice Black Sport  Smiley(My Least Favourite of the Original Manufacturer Colours) Undecided.

The picture was taken in the Autumn of 1987 at a Car Racing Event. I have no idea who the car belonged to, although I can recall it being there when I was watching Bike Racing and parked in the same spot (outside the shops), which may indicate it belonged to one of the Circuit Personnel.

It looks like it has had a respray recently (the doors look like they are bubbling slightly on the bottom) Sad Undecided) although in reasonable shape for a 131 of 8 years old. It also has one of the typical of the era Glass Pop Up Sunroofs  Undecided Angry Sad (Never liked them).

Does anyone on the Forum recognise the car or even owned it  Smiley Grin.

Great pics Rob and I think a new reg no for me.

Contrary to your views, this is my favourite colour although those wheels wouldn't last long!!!  Wink

Hi  All.

I  like  all  the  Colours  in  the  131.  It  seems  that  the  Favourite  one  is  Orange  at  the  moment

as  most  of  cars  that  are  being  restored  are  turned  into  the  Orange.

It's nice to know that you appreciate my car Rob.

However, orange LHD 131s come up quite regularly on the continent - There are a couple on sale at the moment at the ?8/9k mark. Don't they interest you?

Ivor is of course referring to my father's black 131 which appears may have survived against the odds and was sold to an undisclosed purchaser in late Sept 2011. I've put a few "wanted" ads out there to see if the new owner can be tempted to part with it. It's hard to put into words what it would mean to me to come into possession of this car again but suffice to say it is this actual car that is the reason I'm so besotted with these cars to this day.  Smiley

Kev

Which European Websites are you looking at. I was on E-Bay Italy and saw some black, Silver and Grey Sport's that didn't look very appealing  Undecided plus a nice Green Super Smiley.

Which are the best Web-Sites to look at apart from this one with notifications of Car's for Sale and E-Bay Italy.

However, further to spending 3 months back in the UK this summer  Smiley Smiley, with a view to spending more Smiley Smiley Cheesy, I see little prospect in me getting back enough to warrant the purchase of a 131  Cry Cry Cry Cry

However if the right car came along  Wink Wink, I would purchase and store. Let's just say I am not actively looking to purchase. Tou can of course guarantee that when I am looking to purchase there will be nothing suitable available.
