thanks for your comment Smiley i disagree as its no where near as bad as my drivers door on my sport now Shocked which i had to tie closed where it broke in half but i think the photo's maybe giving you a wrong impression as it is still pretty solid but needs just a couple of small repairs to make it a good usable door! i have seen doors much worse then this and you are looking at 600+ for new doors theses days Shocked if it wasn't for me having factory doors i would keep it ... i think the photo are making you think the door is far worse then it is Smiley and ive been collecting fiat panels for my sport for over 13 years now  Smiley so disagree or i would of scrapped it for waste myself  Wink

In my opinion, condition of the door is only one componet to determine the price. Supply and demand are another and more important componet. It seems, at least on the USA market, that doors for 2 door 131 models are not exsitant. Hence I was ready to buy this door and ship them to the US. Last minute before auction ended I found pair of doors here in the US. The price was almost same but shipping was 5 times less. For me the price and associated shipping as posted by Mark was more that appoprite. Along same line - spares for our beloved Fiats will become even more scareced as year pass. Supply and demad will dictate price more and more. This is old news for niche car enthusiast. However it seems like reminder is warranted - we must appreciate, save, proprely store, and share Fiat spares with others like Mark did. I belive that we should leave price comments and associated negotiation to intetested parties.

Thanks for comment Bo, I agree that there was no call for the comment made. I feel I was asking for a fare price for a part which these days are very hard to find, and taking in consideration these parts are 30 years old now approx. and any parts for these cars are going to show some kind of ware and aging, this part has been garaged since I purchased it many years ago ?. And I paid much more for it back then which did not bother me as I know I will be using my factory doors now when I start full restoration ?and only decided too sell it to help someone else that may of needed a very rare part to find. Its not very often you see these parts on the market these days here in the uk either. I was at the time when I purchased this one looking for a drivers door as my one actually broke in half !!! While driving it !!! and I had trouble finding a replacement 8 years ago, And only bought this one back then as I was collecting any body panels I could find. Anyone that knows these cars can appreciate how hard it is too find replacement parts today. I know that there are only a few weak spots on theses doors and I found that out !!! I know if this door was stripped back and had the repairs done which to someone with fabrication experience would be able to make a usable door and would help another member to put another one of these cars back on the road again and these cars as we all know suffered with problems with corrosion. I feel the comment was totally uncalled for and would invite anyone interested or member to inspect the door before purchasing if interested . Thanks again for your comment Bo.

This is a 131 (Forum) and you need thick skin im afraid, i am honest and if you read through my many posts on this forum i never post to offend or put people down !!

I know what it is like to find 131 parts it is not easy ! but not impossible either.
I bought two mint 2 door Sport 2nd hand doors last year deliverd for 300 euro.
Dont get me wrong if you are desperate for a door and need one you will buy the first one you see but you will spend 3x the price to get it welded and repaired to a professional standard.

Other sites I use are not as accomodating as this one when it comes to comments about sales items. If it's too expensive or not what you want to buy don't buy it!

If it really is too expensive it won't sell anyway so really there is no need to comment.

Not everybody has a 'thick skin' as you put it, I'm sure some people don't bother posting anymore or leave the site all together if they feel offended by comments people make.

I have done it myself. I stopped posting pictures on here of my 130 restoration because certain people had nothing better to do than criticise the work of others as it 'didn't come up to their high standards'.

Another site I use has seen all my work on the 130 as all you get there is help and support, the rules are very clear and people follow them.

People who are 131 enthusiasts should support each other not cause division or upset. There is a saying 'if you have nothing good to say, say nothing'.

Point taken !
Problem is Mirafioriman you have posted your views and comments on prices and 131 cars for sale on here and ebay many times too in the last few years !
I will keep my opinions to myself from now on as this must be a no oppinion forum now ?

Opinions are fine but there have been times when people have been very negative towards other members, their workmanship or their sales items.

Sometimes this has bordered on being nasty or insulting and I think we all have to be careful about how we put our opinions across.

Perhaps everybody agreeing not to comment on items in the for sale and wanted section other than to ask apropriate questions would be a good idea?

I have never been nasty towards anyone who is doing a restoration or selling an item, i will put my point across if i think something is over priced to aid new members/buyers of 131 parts who might otherwise pay over the odds for stuff on ebay !

Although if i was selling or clearing out a shead load load of 131 parts like you are i suppose i would be on the defensive about anyone saying anything negative about anyone selling on the forum too untill i sold all my stuff   Wink

I'm not defensive at all. if it doesn't sell I'll just keep it. I don't mind having spare parts for my fleet of cars.

Many parts have been sold to people all over the world and have helped to keep 131s on the road, make them better or modify them for greater performance Wink
