From the numbers committed so far this sounds like it could be the biggest classic Fiat gathering in Ireland... ever!  Shocked

Mike (124man) has been working quietly behind the scenes to create the interest.  Smiley

Fiats are meeting at 9.30am in Durrow village (Texaco petrol station on the Cork side) before proceeding to the show as a convoy.

Pictures will appear here after the event.  Smiley

Come for the weekend Bobby - It's more worthwhile.

Should be one being organised soon for late September as usual. Smiley

Bring your 8 131s...!  Wink

Which one are you bringing to 3MA12 by the way?

Cheers Rob  Wink

When i was on the hunt for another Sport this came along in Retro cars so colour was no choice. It looks well when polished up and considering it was painted approx 1995 still get compliments on the overall body condtion. It was a full strip and painted inside out with 2k laquer all over. It is parked in the corner of my garage and i ended up putting a cover on it as i'd get random dodgy chaps stopping to have a gander inside the garage and generaly wasting my time. Did get the good ones too that complimented the rallying history and how fast they were in there days against Fords. Even had a chap come in a suit with a clipboard trying to offer the 1990's good runner price. He wasn't to pleased when i told him to go and do your research first.

Always wanted an orange one. I've had Black, Red, Green, Silver so far.

Despite the frequent showers and the early start to the show season, there is still massive interest in Irish Classic Fiat owners in getting together and showing off their pride & joys. We had our best ever showing with 25 official Fiat attendees with a couple others dotted around. Also a handful of Lancias and Alfas...and a lovely Manta 400 replica from a Fiat 131 member on here.

Access in and out of the show area was very well managed with no difficulties when I entered/exited. Big thanks to Mike (124man) for organising the Fiat event and for encouraging so many owners to attend. Plus he erected two flag poles flying the Fiat flag so we had plenty of attention. Even the guys from Vintage Scene magazine commented that they had heard many positive remarks from people who were pleased to see a change from the usual Cortinas and Capris (who were very well organised in fairness). Mike very kindly used my car to anchor one of the flag poles- Presumably so any accident and resultant insurance claim wouldn't be on his insurance!!  Wink

Anyway, thanks to everyone for attending - I had lots of enjoyable conversations although I didn't get around to everyone. Enjoy the pictures.  Smiley

This may be a new 131 Sport to some people on here. It's another European  LHD import which has found its way into the hands of a very big Fiat fan.

I dunno Bobby.

Seeing both cars parked side by side the "without" is a cleaner look and allows the original car design to be seen.

Definitely a personal preference though.... Smiley
