Nice colour.

I think this perhaps belonged to Dai from Wales previously.

It looks potentially a very nice car  Smiley Wink. Being an 81 X Plate, this must of been one of the last S2 Supers.

The colour I am 99% sure was within the standard range.

The final price will be interesting. I estimate just under ?3,000.

I know this is a bit obvious, but I think whoever is serious about buying this Super needs to take a good hard look prior to bidding. I think that whilst it has a valid MoT you should also consider how long the car has stood idle and that it will need a proper 'shake down' before all of the niggles come to light.

The seller also states that the car has rust bubbling through and that the rear arches aren't that good  Huh Could turn into one heck of a costly car if all of these are put right fully.

I have to say that I'm quite interested myself, although I'm just about to get my Abarth back from Mark after it's annual check over (which means costs  Shocked) and I'm also sending my Special to him on Thursday for sorting prior to returning to the road, so I'm not sure my Bank Manager would appreciate it if I was to buy another old Fiat Grin Grin

I shall be watching with interest and wish the new owner all the best. Cool I hope it's one of us on here that eventually secures the purchase. Wink

The more I look at it the more I like it Grin Grin It is this type of car that just might make me go off the Sport/Racing idea and go for a Super. Probably wouldn't because if you are going to have the potential hassle and expense of running a 131, you might as well try and get what you really want, which in my case not surprisingly is an Orange Sport/Racing.

I would be very surprised if the one from the Emerald Isle who has recently returned from Southern Italy, hasn't got at least one hand on this one  Grin Grin Shocked Cheesy

I didn't realise that Bank Manager's still existed Shocked Shocked. I thought it was all faceless call centres  Roll Eyes

Rob,

You're probably right. NatWest recently changed their people from 'Personal Banking Managers' to 'Premium Banking Managers' - this is when they literally took the 'Personal' out of banking!!!!! Roll Eyes

Simon

Maybe they see you as a Premium Customer and deserve better service  Grin Grin

Can only be a good thing Smiley

It looks a nice Super, although I would have to change the Front back to Standard S2 Super.

No further bids today and the reserve is not met  Shocked Grin

One of them is a 78 S2 1600TC that my dad has been restoring slowly..perhaps too slowly. Think i might have to get my hands on it late this year.
