Hi i fitted new shocks to the front of my 131 sport when i first got the car on the road in 07 but ever scince the front suspention has been near on solid. every bump you hit vibrates through the car Shocked. Has anyone else had a problem like this after fitting new shocks Cheers Leighton.

Were they the correct fitment? Diesel struts could be harder due to the extra weight of the diesel engine.

Hi not sure when i bought them off the net it just said 131 shocks? I would have thought that the coil springs on a diesel would be stronger rather than the struts?

The springs could indeed be stronger too but the dampers are likely to be stiffer also. Sounds like they might be the wrong ones to me.

I had Koni adjustables on my 131 and they made the front end very hard too.

ahh... the diesel struts... they will not be mount on the 131 first series...
how can i explain...Huh?
at the top where it came into the car... looses 10-15mm
they cant be mounted

when on sunday is summer and not rain... i will take some pictures
so you can see what i mean...

Hi thanks for the replys. The shocks i put on it fit the car fine. They dont seem to absorbe the bumps and pot holes. Think i wll get some more shoks and see what happens.

Yes as it's a sport and therefore a series 2 the diesel struts will fit. Were they Fiat or aftermarket parts?
