My children cannot understand my fascination with 131's.

Bobby, yours seem very keen on them.

My children cannot understand my fascination with 131's.

Bobby, yours seem very keen on them.

My boy loves 131's and was so upset when the green one went.

My dad had 5 brothers and 2 sisters of which all of them except 1 sister were driving 131's in the 80's, it was a sight to see all parked together. All of my cousins including the girls and my own sister know about 131's and know how cool they are. My wife is a newbie but is getting there.  Grin

My wife once said about my silver 131 Sport: "feels like a bus and drives like a tank" or was it "feels like a tank and drives like a bus"  Embarrassed Roll Eyes She hated it and still does; she just cannot understand why anyone would like such a car  Undecided  My daughter used to like the silver Sport and always claimed it'll be hers when she grows up. She even told me off once for not looking after "her car" well enough!

But now she's getting more like her mother and says "it's TOO noisy"! But hey, it's a bit like my wheels; I don't care what people think ....  Grin Grin

Bobby, congratulations on the beautiful little girl and the almost as beautiful Volumetrico.  Cheesy Very sorry to hear about your dad. Please pass on my regards and wish him a very speedy and full recovery.

Just one small discrepancy in that story Theo....

Monica considered Dudley to be hers......but it's actually Hugo that is "TOO noisy" and in fact she's probably right as Hugo IS a lot louder than the earlier car. Smiley

Bobby, congratulations Sir on the arrival of your new bundle of joy! Cool Kids are great when they are small as they go to bed when you put them there - my kids are now usually still up when I go to bed Undecided

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Please pass on my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Luckily all my kids share my 131 'illness', and each has chosen one to be left 'when I die'! Roll Eyes Kids are such caring creatures  Grin When I suggested to my youngest last year that my orange Special was being trailer away because I had sold she sobbed  Cry, and I mean literally. It took me a good while before I was able to pursuade her that it was being taken to Essex so that it could be put back on the road. Cool

So Hugo is louder then a standard Sport Shocked Shocked Shocked

I found my standard (ish) Sport a bit too loud.

Doesn't the Silver with the Black Wheels on the Sport look nice. Orange cars always IMHO looked better with the Silver Wheels.

Cheers again chaps Wink

Great pics Theo, the carbs on the green one use to frighten my lad when I use to start it and he would run off crying Smiley

Hugo sounds lovely and is just how the 8v should sound in a Sport!
