We are planning to have a little get together on Saturday 6th July - everyone is welcome - we only live 20 minutes from Harwich port!

The basic plan is to meet at The Hare at Roxwell who have a car enthusiasts breakfast meeting and then take a good country drive back to ours at St Osyth for dinner, beer etc....

The link for the pub is: http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/thehare/

and the link for the event is: http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/pdf/breakfastclub2013.pdf

Let us know if you want to come - everyone is welcome.

Shame you never organised this last year or year before, I was in an out of Norwich airport every 4 weeks when I worked down in Harwich on the wind farms.
What A shame would like to have seen your car.
Harwich is a great place spent a lot of time in the Stingray pub in old Harwich  Grin

Whats happening Phil? Are we still 'on' for this weekend of yours? If so, I need to book an overnite somewhere near for Saturday. Grin

Yes we are still on for Saturday 6th, lets meet as planned at the pub for the morning meet. I have planned a scenic drive back to ours that takes in Jason's favorite road.  Grin

Every one from the forum is welcome, if you would like to join in can you PM me or put something on this post to help us with the food planning.

I have never been to this meet before - Jason maybe. you can guide us on times? I was thinking about 9 - 9.30 as it is a breakfast get together. We can leave when people are ready maybe 11 am, but we don't have to stick to a time table.

Still not sure which car to bring. Huh

I took the Abarth round the block and she ran sweetly but has now started to drip a little oil (rear of headgasket I think) which adds to the clutch issues. I think it's about time she came off the road for a rebuild - if only I had the cash Cry

The 1600TC has been pressed into service for the trip to work today after I sorted various electrical issues last evening. Replaced the n/s/r light unit for a NOS item I had 'in stock' as the indicator stopped working when the brake was pushed   Shocked I had hoped it was just a bad earth but it didn't get any better after I stripped and cleaned the fitting. Roll Eyes The o/s/f indicator unit failed too, but after stripping it I found it was the connector block not pushed on properly Roll Eyes Got to love Italian electrics. Cool

So, looks like I shall be travelling to Essex in the red Super - although I really want to use the Abarth  Tongue

Firstly, a HUGE "thank you" to Tansy and Phil for their hospitality and great food that Tansy must have spent hours, if not days, cooking  Cheesy And a thank you to Phil for the wonderful driving route through the Essex countryside. I never realised how pretty Essex is until yesterday  Grin

We all met at the Hare at Roxwell for their monthly Classic Car breakfast meet.

After some free coffee (I was too late for the free danishes  Embarrassed) the five 131s set off for a drive through the Essex countryside.

We made a point of driving a short section of the A131 which we renamed to the 5x131s  Grin

We had lunch at a lovely pub which I believe was in Suffolk, ice cream by the seaside in Harwich and then the aforementioned superb dinner cooked by Tansy.

A great day which I hope will become a regular annual occurrence on our 131 motoring calendar  Cheesy

It was good to see everyone again & Steve for the first time, no 131 run would be complete without at least one complete trip around a roundabout  Grin and an Essex version of umleitung  Shocked
