My 6th 131  Wink

This was a great car, central locking, power assisted steering and electric windows  Smiley  Which worked fine once I'd cleaned the washing powder out of the switches - long story....

Almost all known history too.  A friend of a friend's family bought the Super from new.  A friend bought it when it was about 8 years old.

After a while they sold it to my sister who ran it for a couple of years then bought a low mileage 1600 TC  Lancia Prisma Symbol and sold the super to another friend who ran it between Hatfield (Herts), Reading and Prestatyn regularly.

Reverse gear failed and another gearbox was fitted by "others" .......which didn't have the "high" 5th  Sad

Eventually the price came down low enough for me to buy the super (broke student).  Some welding and the brake master cylinder off my (retired) 131 Sport and the super was back in action   Smiley  I lived in Hatfield at the time and the super went from Hatfield to East Anglia regularly.  Never missed a beat  Wink

The super did it's duty well, including towing my 131 Sport back to East Anglia;

After that it deserved a holiday so it was off to Ireland for two weeks;

This is Sneem on the ring of Kerry.  My Mate Seosamh and I gave a lift to hitch hiker who explained that her parents had a bar in Sneem and that she was sure that they would have B&B rooms....

Just the one frontal pic Steve!!!  Smiley

Great stories. I don't see how you can't come to M2M13140 seeing as how you have such history of 131s in Ireland!!! Wink
