I now have a copy of "Le Casse" (French dialogue) with the 124/Opel car chase.
What I had forgotten and is not shown in the YouTube clip is that while Omar Sharif gets back into his Opel and drives away at the end of the chase, Mr Belmondo looks at his 124 with a pool of oil under it (obviously a broken sump) and realises he is not going anywhere as a broken headlamp falls off the 124!
It's interesting that this French dialogue version was filmed in French and is not dubbed; neither is the English version. They must have filmed two copies of the scenes with dialogue, one in French and one in English. I suppose one of the reasons that they had such a long car chase and long scenes without dialogue throughout the film...
I've almost got a copy of "Le Professionel" with the 131 chase as well ....
