Best Ferry prices at the moment for UK travellers seem to be with Irish Ferries who are offering a 20% discount on bookings made before 29th February.

LeShuttle price seems double the ferry price. But it's probably twice as convenient and less than half the travel time. Then again the ferry is twice as much fun when travelling with a group of friends....

Irina Dedyukova, the Events Manager at the FCA Heritage Hub, has confirmed our visit to the Heritage Hub. Many thanks to Michele who did all the legwork.

We will arrive by 10:00am on Saturday 25th May and receive a 2 hour guided tour in English. The cost will be €15 per person (a special reduction from public tickets at €24). We will also be allowed to park our 131s inside the hub for a photoshoot. The cost will be €10 per car.

The Heritage Hub normally limit the number of people on guided group tours to 30 people. We currently have 26 confirmed attendees so we are getting close to their limit. It is vital that we know soon who is coming because we'll have to prepay for the tour, plus if we are a lot more than 30 people we might have to arrange a second tour in the afternoon.

This link https://discountcodes.trustedreviews.com/visit/promotion/68194 gives a 20% discount on DFDS ferries. Not sure when it expires.

Our program for Saturday 25th May is now finalised with our scheduled visit to the FCA Heritage Hub:

We must arrive by 10:00am on Saturday 25th May.

We will receive a 2 hour guided tour in English from 10:30 to 12:30.

The cost is €15 per person (a special reduction from public tickets at €24).  It may be possible to have a different language as well during our tour and there will be an additional charge of €65 for the guide. If we need to ask for the tour in Italian or Spanish, we will need to know well in advance so we can arrange this.

We will also be allowed to park our 131s inside the hub for a photoshoot. The cost is €10 per car.

The FCA Heritage Hub is part of the Mirafiori complex and it's at:

Heritage HUB
Via Plava 86,
10135 Turin

Our visit to the FCA Heritage Hub will be followed by lunch at Cascina Duc farmhouse. Located on the border between Turin and Grugliasco, immersed in one of the few green areas still existing on the edge of the city but a stone's throw from the motorway so easily accessible in our 131s.

Cascina DUC is one of the few still "intact" in the surroundings of Turin, of a farmhouse working on agricultural activities. Over 20 hectares of land, cultivated with fodder and cereals, surround on four sides the eighteenth-century building in which the Agriturismo finds its natural home, with over 100 seats, and the points of sale of local products.

We will be treated to a typical Italian tasting menu consisting of first courses, second courses, assorted desserts, and coffee included. The cost is €35 per person and Piedmontese wine, for the non-drivers,  will be €10 per bottle.

Theo,

Is it possible to list the visitors to the Hub, in order to verify if one is subscrived for the tour?

I put myself down for  persons.

Already an idea of which road you guys are taking to Turin.

Hello Dirk,

If you are staying with us at the Diamante Hotel, then we assume you will want to visit the Heritage Hub so everyone is included. We may be asked to pre-pay for our visit and if that happens,  then we will have to collect names and money but otherwise if you are with us you are going to the Hub  Wink

Four "teams" from the UK and one from Ireland will be staying at the Hôtel Restaurant Kyriad Direct DIJON NORD - Zenith - Toison d'Or on Wednesday night 22nd May.  Others from the UK are making their own way to Turin.

Our currently suggested route by Google is as below but I am not sure we'll be going via Lyon. Our final route will depend on traffic conditions on the day, how much time we have and how much we try to avoid French Motorway tolls, and if we arrange to meet any others on the way.

Our allocation of reserved rooms at the Diamante Hotel has all been taken up. In fact the hotel just has two rooms left and they are not being held specifically for us so if you intend to join us, please book now before the final two rooms are taken up.

Our Sunday itinerary is now complete. In the morning, we’ll explore Cocconato, a charming commune nestled in the Province of Asti within the Italian region of Piedmont. Cocconato lies approximately 25 kilometres (16 miles) east of Turin and 25 kilometres (16 miles) northwest of Asti. This picturesque village is one of I Borghi più belli d’Italia, or ‘The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy,’ and they’re eagerly awaiting our arrival. We’ve been granted permission to showcase our cars in the village square from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. During this time, they’ll also treat us to a guided tour of their enchanting surroundings. You can find details about our visit on their website here: https://www.visitlmr.it/en/events/events-calendar/monferrato/maggio/3ma24-50-anniversario-fiat-131-1972-2024-raduno-fiat-131-cocconato-cocconato.

Cocconato d’Asti, often referred to as the Riviera of Monferrat, boasts stunning hills and is renowned for being the home of Conbipel, a prestigious clothing company. Its unique climate has earned it this moniker, and it proudly holds a place among ‘The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.’ Situated at an elevation of nearly 500 meters above sea level, the village offers breathtaking panoramic views. A notable tradition here is the Palio degli Asini, an annual event held in the central square, which has gained recognition from the Italian Federation of Historical Games. Perhaps our 3ma Fiat 131 celebrations in the same square will become a cherished tradition every five years! 😉😄

After our car display and exploration of Cocconato’s beauty, we’ll indulge in a typical Piedmontese lunch at the nearby Agrimacelleria and Agriturismo Il Canneto. This delightful spot is situated in the open countryside, nestled between Cocconato and Piovà Massaia, and offers an idyllic setting for a barbecue feast.
