Hugo is out of winter hibernation and back home after a quick swap at the garage with Trev. While I'm busy getting the Gamma ready for GammaQuaranta  I haven't forgotten that Hugo needs to be ready for 3ma16 in Alsace. So MOT test booked for next week and also booked in for some minor cosmetic work. I've owned at least one 131 since 1979 but I'm still very impressed and somewhat surprised when I get back into one at just how lovely these cars are to drive  Wink  Cheesy I went everywhere the long way round today as I just wanted to keep driving....

I think all manual (non power steering) racks are the same. Getting a LHD rack is easy (http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/steering-rack/sami-801_g286_a472801.html) but RHD not so easy. Maybe this is the time to make a proper LHD Abarth Stradale replica  Grin Early Maserati Biturbos (series 1 without power steering) used the same rack! It's made by TRW so might be fitted to other cars as well?

Shouldn't there be a plastic bush there?

... and is this the required bush?
I have no idea and can't understand what happened to the one in my 131 steering rack! The gaiter is intact so couldn't have fallen out and there's no bush or pieces of broken bush to be found anywhere! Must have been beamed out of my rack by an alien.....  Grin

A LHD Series 3 Super would be nice for that. But 1 week on the Continent and 51 weeks of driving on the correct side of the road in the UK......  Wink

Well done Theo, here's hoping that you and Jasonh are not the only attendees from England. Shocked Please keep your fingers crossed for me at 09.30hrs on Saturday 9th April, when Primrose is in for her for MoT at my mate Paul's place (PRC MoT, near Bordon, Hampshire). I hope he wears his rose-tinted safety glasses!!  Cool Grin Otherwise I might be looking for someone to ride shotgun with!!  Shocked Shocked
