Hi all. I am looking to know what the stadard tyre size would have been on a fiat 131 mk3 4 door? The wheels currently are 13" ? 5" fitted with 165/80 13. Would these have been the correct size tyres?

Next question: I am looking to fit 13" ?5.5" wide wheels. I have these fitted on my sport with 185/60 13 tyres. Would these be suitable for the mk3 4door or would I need a larger profile tyre?

Thanks for any help / suggestions

Hi Chris

I think it depends on engine size. My white 1400TC Super came with 165/80/13s on I think ...4.5 inch wide wheels. I fitted 185/70/13 tyres to the same wheels but in hindsight I think I should have had wider wheels for that tyre width. It handled and gripped very well nevertheless.

If it's a 2000TC, they came with either 13 x 5J or 14 X 5.5J wheels (I have both sets in stock). The former I believe should have 185/70/13 tyres and the latter could either have 185/65/14 or 185/60/14.

The Sport came on 185/70/13s or 185/60/14s. Never on 185/60/13s as far as I know....although I've seen 195/60/13s fitted and they look OK - I suspect the steering is quite heavy though... Smiley

I can't comment on the 1600s or Diesels without looking them up.....hope that helps.

Think that's a more appropriate size to keep the speedo right Chris.

Just for the record, I do have 205/60-13 tyres on Cromodora alloys, they do fit fine and steering is in no way heavy at all (no power steering).

Are 175 50 13 become too small on a deep dish rims 13x7.  -7 ET because 185 60 13 become wide and clash with rear arches

Try to get the 14  x 5.5 wheels with 185  60 14    , the generaly look and feel the best , 13 look to small and anything less than 5,5 wide look like skinny granddad wheels ... Grin Grin Grin

Are 15-7 fit?

I've got 15"x 6", running 195, 50 tyres. Depending on the wheel offset you might get 15" x 7" under it. I had to remove the 6mm spacer plates, but still had slight rubbing on the rear, the 132 rearend was slightly narrower, so no more rubbing after it was fitted.
