Hi all
Just bought a Fiat OHV engine and want to know what car it came out of .
Engine cast code is 124.2 so I assume it's from a 124 but which model /year ?
Anyone knows?

Could that be a 1438cc  OHV   ?     Carb type may help a little to check its not a 1197.

Maybe 124S.    ( Not ST)

It came with no carbs ! But manifolds for double webers
I never seen that before and also 81.5 mm bore

Engine type should be stamped above the engine number on the side of the block, just below the distributer 'hole'.

124

1438 = 80 bore x 71.5 stroke

1197 = 73 bore x 71.5 stroke

131

1297 = 76 bore x 71.5 stroke

1585 = 84 bore x 71.5 stroke
