Morning gents,

While I'm changing the heater return pipe, I'm thinking it may be worth changing the rad at the same time. (It is almost 40 years old after all!)

What's your advice? Is it possible to find an original one? I can't find any on ebay. Is the 1600 Supermirafiori rad the same  as on my 1300?  Does anyone have a new one they'd like to part with?

Or am I better off getting mine refurbished? (I think firms can change the core?)

Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Pete

You might contact NRF UK
They distribute all sorts of radiators and other cooling parts
I do not think they will still stock complete ones but I am sure they know companys who will do a re-core in the London area

Yagmur sells new ones as well but transportation might be an issue....

Try Ele in Italy for a new rad.

If you want one from Yagmur let me know asap as I'm getting another lot of parts in the next week or so.

Cheers

PS: as far as I know al the push rod engines (1.3 & 1.6) share the same radiator
try to go for an S-fin design instead of a flat fin (it has better performance in the extreme hot wether conditions of the UK Grin Grin)

from memory, 1300/1400/1600 were all the same.  the 2ltr one ts slightly taller and has a different bracket welded to the cars cross member, ( this is easy enough to modify if you find a 2ltr rad.) i have a good used 1600 one here in somerset but has been in storage for  10years plus.

Hi, thanks for the information and for the offer of your used one.  At the moment, mine is still OK so I'll wait till I need one.

Hi,
So, I got a quote to recore the rad for £200, then found a new one in Germany which I bought for £95 delivered!
Can't believe you can still find them brand new.
