I have just seen the request for donations in order to maintain the Website. May I suggest an annual subscription for existing members with new members getting the first year free. This should solve the funding issue. What is everyone thoughts on such an idea. In addition it may bring about some much needed interest in the website.

I think annual subscription causes many operational problems. People will need to be reminded to pay and what do we do if they don't? We'll also be forced into forming a proper club with constitution and rules and that's not the idea behind this website. This is meant to be a resource of information "run by volunteers for the benefit of owners and enthusiasts of the Fiat 131" as it says in the disclaimer.  For the past 12 years it was also a free resource and by simply asking for voluntary contributions to pay the costs, I believe we are keeping true to the ethos by which this website was created. Having said that, the donations page we've set up does allow people to set up a monthly recurring donation so anyone who would like to donate on a regular basis can do so.
