I'd suggest an overnight stay at the Ox hotel, just over the border from Strasbourg, where we stayed in 2014. Definitely nicer than most French hotels  Smiley

https://www.oxhotel.de/

Most probably we'll be there.

Robert you mean night 4 to 5 days ? we flying to zurich middle of day 5's june but you were started of  morning the ox hotels to turin ? if we don't get along with it then ! our car is located near ox hotels

Ok, nights at the OX in Heitersheim confirmed. We'll be there from June 4-5 and 10-11. If anyone wants to join us: on June 4 only 1 room left; June 10 is whitsunday, so it might be difficult to find rooms at all, whether in Germany or in France. I suggest you all make early reservations for the return journey!

I assume we'll meet the UK convoy at the Swiss border on June 5? What about the German section, any ideas yet?

June 10 is whitsunday, so it might be difficult to find rooms at all, whether in Germany or in France.

But June 10 is a Monday! Or is the Monday a holiday in Germany and France?

A quick check on Booking.com shows plenty of availability in the area including for the Ox hotel. But we must sort out our outbound and return overnight stays for the UK contingent soon....

We currently have  13 rooms booked at the Parisi hotel which have been taken up by 21 people, 4 children, 12 Fiats and 1 Ford  Roll Eyes  Grin

We had reserved an allocation of 15 rooms at the hotel Parisi and they have now agreed to extend our booking deadline to the end of April for the remaining 2 rooms.

I stand corrected, June 10 is a Monday  Cry but is anyway a holiday in Germany (so, less lorries on the road!). However, most likely weekend guests will be on their way home by then, so no pressure in finding a room I suppose.

The Grand Hotel Filippo (https://grand-hotel-filippo.net/en/) in Niederbronn has been booked for outward journey (4-5 June) and the Ox Hotel in Heitersheim has been booked for the return journey (10-11 June).
