I am trying desperately to sort things out. Apologies for the problems and please be patient while I try to sort it out.

Been trying to get on for 3 days now -This is the first time i have been succesful

I think I now know the main reason for the problems although it doesn't explain why it sometimes works and sometimes not.  :-\  Ignoring that, I need to find out how to fix it or, to be more precise, how to convince our hosts the problem is with them and get them to fix it  :(

It's like hitting my head against a brick wall  >:( Our hosts' support team are useless and I keep going round in circles. Having received the message below, I thought I was getting somewhere but it seems not as they now decided to give me a backup of the database taken on the 1st of September. I have much newer backups of the database (in fact I managed to get a good enough connection tonight and got a backup  :D ). Once again sorry this is taking so long but hopefully it will be resolved soon....

I had to make a couple of attempts to post up including photos last night.

Seems a little slower than usual opening pages tonight too.

Theo I have had no problems all week end its been fine at my end and still ok tonight.

I keep on getting "timed out" messages when trying to open a topic. But then when I back out of the page it corrects itself. Seems also to be hanging

 :-\ Still works fine for me  :D Paul and Dave you both connect via btcentralplus so maybe the connection problems are isolated to certain ISPs.

i can get on now but earlier  it wouldnt open a page, been slow last couple of days Theo, only this site the other forums i am on are much faster??

OK, I've done some simple maintenance to the database that might improve performance. I don't want to do too much on the principle of "if it ain't broken don't fix it" and at the moment doesn't seem broken to me.  :-\

I do know where i am BT had major problems at the weekend and some people lost their internet from sunday 4pm  untill today about 1pm today.
