Title: my bit of german Post by: jack1 on October 18, 2011, 09:51:04 PM i headed of at 4am on oct 1st and flew from dublin to eindhoven (holland) ,landed at 9.30 am was picked up and driven an hours drive to collect it ,,left at 12 noon and drove 720kms to cherbourg in france ,landed at 8.45pm and sailed at 9.30pm . docked at 2.30pm on sunday in rosslare and drove to my home and clicked a total of 888kms and all for this ;D ;

It has been for sale for some time now. The seller has a collection of very low mileage cars in excellent condition. I can't remember how much the seller was asking but it was big money.

Yes, I can! ;) It's because the externally stored picture of the Audi at http://i.imgur.com/3TPyx.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/3TPyx.jpg) is 2,230pixels wide (by 1,672pixels high) making the whole post wide screen. Or to put it simply, the picture is too big. I've resized the photo display to 800 pixels wide now so it should no longer be wide screen. I was and still am a great fan of these Audi's. As mentioned previously my Dad had a Nov 1982 100 5E CS. A sort of run out semi sports model with Alloys and a Front Spoiler. He bought it when it was a year old. I will get a picture scanned. It was also quite rapid for its 136BHP. I remember him also looking at these 200's, at the time. I really wanted him to get one of these mainly for the very luxurious interiors :D ;D. Didn't the family in the Film 'ET' have one, although being American it was probably badged something else. It's a great find you have made. I am now a big fan of all things Audi; sat in last week a new A6 3.0 Turbo Quattro; very nice. What colour is your friends CS. I saw my Dad's old one (Met Red) in Chester a few years ago (it must have been 25 years old then) looking like new. My favourite one of this model was the late 70's pre facelift 100CD 5E (the one with all the kit on incl air con :-\). Always looked nice in Light Met Green, Bronze or Silver.
