Title: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: kev131 on January 07, 2012, 09:09:23 PM I'm interested in a car there but the selling garage just put the phone down when I ask "Do you speak English" and don't reply to e-mails... even in German? :-[
Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: mirafioriman on January 07, 2012, 09:13:52 PM Obviously not that keen to sell then ???
Sorry I can't help, don't have any contacts there. Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: simon131 on January 07, 2012, 10:37:43 PM Doesn't sound too promising Kev. :-\ As Dave says, they obviously aren't that eager to sell to non-German speakers. :'( Perhaps one our German 'members' can assist you. 8)

Any clues on the car ;D Must be a slightly larger 131 with a "2" in it or something older then a 131 with the word "Coupe" in it ;) :D ;D. Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: Robert on January 08, 2012, 09:54:43 AM Kev, send me details via PM, I'll call them tomorrow (monday).
Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: kev131 on January 08, 2012, 12:36:54 PM E-mail sent Robert & thanks for the offer of assistance.
Rob - It's not a 132 - I've gone cool on them since being disappointed by one last July. If it was an earlier model it would more likely have the word Special T in it rather than Coupe... ;) I'll just keep it quiet until I make a decision if you don't mind...just in case I get any competition....although I doubt it - You'll see why when I reveal the car...! ;D Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: Rob 131 on January 08, 2012, 01:18:20 PM I'm speculating somewhat on a S2 Supermirafiori :D :) Although we'll all have to wait and see. As a distance 2nd choice an Argenta.
Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: kev131 on January 08, 2012, 01:32:11 PM All good guesses but not on the button yet Rob.... although it's definitely a Fiat with a twin cam engine.... ;)
Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: kev131 on January 14, 2012, 10:38:31 AM Well Robert very kindly drove some significant distance to see the car on Thursday but while en route the car was unfortunately sold meaning a wasted trip...which must have been very frustrating...thanks for the generous offer though.
The car was a Regata 90S ie with a 1600 twin cam engine. My father's last Fiat was a Regata 85S in metallic blue. This one appeared to be a special edition with alloys and what looks like a part alcantara interior and the ubiquitous 80's side stripe. One owner from new in a very rare colour and a current TUV. 114,000 kms reported. Here are some pictures. The car started at ?1450 about 6 months ago, dropped to ?1000 for a few weeks and then went back to ?1450. Last weekend it dropped again but this time to ?500 and I thought I can't go wrong at that money. Unfortunately someone else thought the same and was quicker than me. Oh well...half the fun is looking. Thanks again Robert. :) (http://i766.photobucket.com/albums/xx305/kev132/0196537846015.jpg) Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: Rob 131 on January 14, 2012, 05:35:47 PM When I was speculating last week a Regatta 100 (I think that was the UK version with the Twin Cam did cross my mind ;D ;D.
Then I thought no :o Who would want a Regatta :-\ :-\ It's a good job we are not all the same in this world :D :) I personally have never liked the Regatta. To me the replacement for the 131 Sport was the Strada 130TC Abarth. Replacement for the 131 - The Lancia Prisma. Stylish and appealing like a 131. Are you definitely off a 132 Kev. Would make a lovely partner for the Sport. Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: Sev131 on January 14, 2012, 08:42:49 PM My dad had 1985 100s. 1600tc with 2 litre performance.
It was mint, had 105tc wheels spoiler etc. Wish i had kept it now, would of dropped a 130tc lump in it! Uk had the 100s ie to which must of been the best as 100s had carb trouble. Those wheels kev look the same as Mk1 Croma Turbo Title: Re: Any members near Essen in Germany..? Post by: williefiat on January 14, 2012, 09:16:13 PM Hi All.
