Title: Where do old 131s go to die...?
Post by: kev131 on December 28, 2007, 11:17:30 AM
This garden was the "almost" final resting place for many 131 Sports in Ireland - The owner (a fellow 3MAer) is a huge Fiat fan with a particular fondness for 131s, as you can see from the photos. I believe that he may have had 10 dead or dying 131 Sports at one stage - At the time that I visited there were only 4 left with a few four door cars.

Unfortunately the collection grew too big for a private home and the authorities deemed that the cars had to be scrapped which they duly were. I think that the last (grey) Sport has been saved for a future project.

The first car is a Co Sligo registered silver Sport.

The next car I believe may be a Dublin car and had a close encounter with a cutting tool one day!

I know little about the black & white car (except that I wouldn't have this livery on my car) ::). It was borderline whether it was worth saving or not.

The grey car has gone to a collector so may be saved.

A silver Supermirafiori Series 3 is lurking here in the undergrowth.

These 2 four doors are diesel versions (2500cc).

The white one has to be one of the most outrageous treatments of a 131 that I have seen - Who would be seen in public driving this? It must have been a joke in the car's last days!! :o Oh...and the R Grant boot spoiler looks like a thing of beauty compared with this contraption!  ??? ::)

It is incredible to see how these cars could rust. For me to be honest even more strange that there are still a few around. Is there still anything left of these cars?
On a lot of pictures , especially from GB or Ireland I see red interiors, anybody can help me with a good complete red interior?
