Nice project for someone. It's a very early one on a T plate so full velour which looks in excellent condition from the photos. Auto suits me too. Sadly it's a long way from me and I have no more space or money. Hope someone on here gets it and we see it rise again ;D

Seller appears to have sold lots of part-worn tyres as well as wheels in the past, so perhaps he's in the trade. Says he's owned it for a year, but doesn't say where the cars has stood for that period or when the pics were taken. Looks like a pretty solid car though, probably worth a punt. Already up to ?841 with 9 and a half days to go. Wish I'd been able to keep my red 1600TC now. :-\

Making big money despite being an auto and most possibly needing a lot of work.

It's got a lot going for it I guess and there's always people who think because of its low mileage and history it won't be rotten. It might not be but we've all seen the pictures of stripped out shells that looked good but turned out to be very rotten. Also with some people turning 4 doors into Abarth replicas maybe people with that plan are bidding who knows.

I think the totally original cars seem to sell for better money, people seem to love a 'barn find'.

Mirafioriman you are right!
People seem to react financially to the words (barn find) it's the new way to get extra money for the same old car for sale! same as Some Fiat folk react to sellers adding the word Abarth, it's like a sellers 007 licence to make double the money  :o

I think I'm going to rent a barn and put some cars in it for a few weeks and then 'find' them  ;D ;D

Nice and complete looking....shame about the auto....

I thought that when I bought mine off Mick131 4 months ago, but it's not a problem to me now.

If it's the mpg that's the problem Kev, you just need to change your driving style. ;D
I found that if you keep your corner speed up and don't slow down for the corners, you don't have to accelerate out of them, works a treat for me!  :D

I thought it would be a bit of a slug with the auto box as I'd never driven a 1600tc before, but I should've known better. As most of you guys will know, the engine is another gem and still has loads of torque compared to the 2000tc.
I travelled to Manchester in it last weekend and up to the Croft circuit at Darlington yesterday for the Jack Frost stages rally and was still more than capable of wasting your modern motors down the A1 and the M62!  ;D

Superb car and loving it.  8)

Will post a thread about it in the other section soon.  :)

It seems there's more love for the series 2 mate.
If I didn't get mine for the price I paid for it, I'd would've been getting in touch with you about yours.
